About This Spot

Housed along Douglas Parade, this is a place where the hum of conversation blends effortlessly with the clink of wine glasses and the inviting aroma of slow-cooked, lovingly crafted dishes. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance — warm and unhurried, making it an ideal spot for a celebratory dinner or a quiet evening spent catching up with friends over carefully chosen drinks.
The mood here leans into relaxed sophistication. It’s the kind of room where attentive staff make you feel genuinely seen without ever rushing the moment, and the layout encourages sharing — both of plates and stories. Whether you’re drawn to the fine wine selection or the thoughtful cocktail creations, there’s a sense that each pour has been selected to complement the distinctive flavors arriving from the kitchen.
The menu is a quietly adventurous journey in itself. Rather than overwhelming with options, it offers a curated experience where every plate seems designed to encourage connection. From delicate seafood to rich, slow-braised meats and vibrant vegetable accompaniments, the food invites sharing and savoring at a comfortable pace. You might find the subtle interplay of textures and seasonal ingredients turning a simple supper into something memorable, while the desserts close out the evening with gentle indulgence rather than fanfare.

Celebrated a birthday here Incredible dinner. Great quality food and amazing menu making it really hard to chose! We had a different couple of glasses of wines, the chicken liver pate, rib eye steak and the beef cheek with a rocket and pear salad on the side. Our waiter was very lovely and attentive - we will definitely be going back!! Highly recommended

A delicious supper - chefs grazing charcuterie board, followed by chicken and leek croquettes; rocket, pear and Parmesan salad; chilli, tomato and basil prawns and then the freshest tiramisu and caramel covered sticky date pudding. A lovely menu with lots of sharing options as well as more substantial protein options if you wish. Lovely ambiance and beautiful service. Well done ladies Perfect venue for Mum and daughter catch up, dinner with girlfriends or romantic dinner for two.

One of my favourite Williamstown eateries. A good range of options. Their share plates are delicious especially the eggplant chips. The best gnocchi ever. A wide range of good wines to choose from as well as classic cocktails. Give it a go.

My first time here and my sister, mum and I loved it! The food was amazing and so were the drinks. We will definitely be back!

Loved everything about this place. My dinner companion said the steak was the best ever. We also had the arancini, the cauliflower and fried chicken share plates. All brilliant.

One of my oldest, and dearest mates has been a long-time, adopted local in Williamstown. Thankfully after years of losing track of each other, we've recently reconnected. As a result, I'm slowly learning that Willy is not a suburb, it's a village: a beautiful, human, living example of the kind of community we should all strive to rebuild in our worlds. We'd be elsewhere for dinner but the idea of a nightcap crept into the journey home. And so we found ourselves in Lower West Side. From the moment we walked in it was obvious my friend was a treasured member of this lovely village. Nightcap turned into nightcaps. Drink and chatter flowed at a steady pace. By the time we left, I felt like I had a temporary pass as a local and I could not have been prouder of that. You can probably buy the sort of food and drink found here at hundreds of places across Melbourne. But there's only one that I now know of where it's served with the kind of local love that makes it priceless. Bother to seek out Lower West Side, it's more than worth it.

Great food and share plates! Went with a big group and the staff were very accommodating and service was quick. Good value for money, will be back next time I visit Melbourne
